The 8th ATP of CLP

Publication_of_8th_ATP_02.jpgOn the 14th of June 2016, Regulation (EU) n. 2016/918 has been published on the Official Journal of the European Union (L 156). This regulation, also known as the 8th ATP, updates Regulation 1272/2008 (CLP).

This regulation aligns the CLP to the fifth revision of the GHS through a series of changes, such as the introduction of new P statements, deletion or changes in the order of existing P statements, and the introduction of a new category for the skin corrosion/irritation hazard class.

The 8th ATP will come into force on February 1st 2018, but companies can already start using it on a voluntary basis.
