Harmonised classification: intentions of proposal

CLP-CLHOn the ECHA website, the following substances have been listed as intentions to submit harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) proposals because a dossier has been provided:

  • methyl N-(isopropoxycarbonyl)-L-valyl-(3RS)-3-(4-chlorophenyl)-β-alaninate; valifenalate (CAS 203159-90-0): the intention has been submitted by Uruguay.

  • Phenyl bis (2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)-phosphine oxide (EC 423-340-5; CAS 162881-26-7): the intention has been submitted by Germany and classifies the substance as: Skin Sens. 1A, H317.

  • 2-benzyl-2-dimethylamino-4'-morpholinobutyrophenone (EC 404-360-3; CAS 119313-12-1): the intention has been submitted by the MIDU. An identical intention has been submitted by Germany, without a CAS number.

  • halosulfuron-methyl (ISO); methyl 3-chloro-5-{[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)carbamoyl]sulfamoyl}-1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylate (CAS 100784-20-1): the intention has been submitted by Italy and classifies the substance as: Aquatic Acute 1, H400, M-factor=1000; Aquatic Chronic 1, H410, M-factor=1000.

  • 2-methoxyethyl acrylate (EC 221-499-3; CAS 3121-61-7): the intention has been submitted by France and classifies the substance as “Reproductive toxicity".

  • 4,5-dichloro-2-octyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one; (DCOIT) (EC 264-843-8; CAS 64359-81-5): the intention has been submitted by Norway and classifies the substance as: Acute Tox. 4, H302; Acute Tox. 1, H330; Skin Corr. 1C, H314; Skin Sens. 1A, H317; Aquatic Acute 1, M-factor=100; Aquatic Chronic 1, M-factor=100; SCL Skin sensitisation: 0,001%; SCL skin irritation: 0,01%.

Moreover, The CLH intention for arsenic (EC 231-148-6; CAS 7440-38-2) has been withdrawn.

Harmonised classification: what companies can do

Harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) proposals and intentions allow companies, interested in one or more proposed substances, to comment such classification. Those interested in such substances and who have available data of interest may contact ECHA to communicate such info.
