Three new substances subject to consultation

harmonised_classification-CLPPublic consultations have been opened by the ECHA for three substances not yet classified in Annex VI to the CLP Regulation. ECHA invites the concerned parties to provide comments on all hazard classes for physical, health and environmental hazards.

The public consultations are as follows:

•    Mesosulfuron-methyl; methyl 2-{[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)carbamoyl]sulfamoyl}-4-{[(methylsulfonyl)amino]methyl}benzoate (CAS 208465-21-8) has been submitted by France, with a proposed classification of Aquatic Chronic 1, H410; Aquatic Acute 1, H400 (M-factor = 100).


•    D-trans-tetramethrin; (1,3,4,5,6,7-hexahydro-1,3-dioxo-2H-isoindol-2-yl)methyl (1R-trans)-2,2-dimethyl-3-(2-methylprop-1-enyl)cyclopropanecarboxylate (EC 214-619-0; CAS 1166-46-7) has been submitted by Germany, with a proposed classification of Acute Tox. 4, H332; Carc. 2, H351; STOT SE 2, H371; Aquatic Acute 1, H400 (M-factor = 100); Aquatic Chronic 1, H410 (M-factor = 100). 


•    Tetramethrin (ISO); (1,3-dioxo-1,3,4,5,6,7-hexahydro-2H-isoindol-2-yl)methyl 2,2-dimethyl-3-(2-methylprop-1-en-1-yl)cyclopropanecarboxylate (EC 231-711-6, CAS 7696-12-0) has been submitted by Germany, with a proposed classification of Acute Tox. 4, H332; Carc. 2, H351; STOT SE 2, H371; Aquatic Acute 1, H400; Aquatic Chronic 1, H410.

Public consultations usually last 45 days and in this case consultations for all three aforementioned substances have been started on December 22nd 2015, and will close on the 5th of February 2016.
