Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) Calls for Submission of GMO Foods Derived From Cotton Line GHB811

On November 9, 2017, FSANZ called for submission of food derived from herbicide-tolerant cotton line GHB811. This cotton line is genetically modified for tolerance to two herbicides, glyphosate and isoxaflutole. This submission will be end by 6 pm (Canberra time) on December 6, 2017.

Australia Sets New MRL for 19 AgVet Chemicals

On January 12, 2017, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) published an amendment “Proposal P1027-Managing low-level Ag & Vet Chemicals without MRLs” into Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code, Schedule 20, Maximum Residue limits. These changes have entered into force immediately.
