On December 05, 2019, a new variation to the Food Standards in the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code was published on the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette No. FSC 129.

Standard 4.5.1 has varied by adding Potassium polyaspartate to the list of Food Additives and changes have immediate effect.
